The AGV Palletmover Stacker
Just like the standard type the AGV Palletmover Stacker has a load capacity of 1,000 kilograms, with a lifting height of no less than 2.5 meters. The Stacker is also equipped with natural navigation, two safe scanners and an external charging station (for autonomous charging). At ABB, the AGVs transport the filled pallet boxes from production to warehouse and provide the injection molding machines with new empty pallet boxes.
The ERP system linked to the WEWO MES system
Because ABB's ERP system is linked to the WEWO MES system, the MES automatically receives the status of all injection molding machines. The AGVs pick filled boxes, drive them to the warehouse and deliver them - at different heights - to one of the discharge conveyors. All product data is communicated to ABB's ERP system. The AGVs then pick empty pallet boxes from the warehouse, in order to provide the various injection molding machines with empty boxes again.
The entire internal transport is automated
The entire internal transport at ABB is automated with the AGV Palletmover Stackers. And because the production process is continuous, the AGVs drive back and forth. All day, every day. The MES system checks which AGV is available. Are all AGVs taken? Then the assignment is placed in the queue and - of course - executed as soon as possible.
