Project: Henri Hutin

For cheese producer Henri Hutin in France, WEWO Techmotion implemented an automated AGV system to transport cheese moulds and racks to the production line. The solution was developed in collaboration with Alpma and ensures an efficient and continuous flow of materials within the factory.

The system comprises two zones, both of which are controlled via a single central fleet management and supervision system. The right-hand area has 402 storage positions and is designed for high capacity and continuous supply to production. The left-hand area contains 60 storage positions and supports the material flow within the process. By centrally controlling both zones, the deployment of the AGVs is continuously optimised across the entire logistics process.

The transport system consists of four stainless steel AGVs, specially designed for use in the food industry. Thanks to natural navigation, the vehicles move autonomously through the factory without physical guidance. Smart load management ensures that the AGVs remain continuously available, even during prolonged production runs.

The WMS (Warehouse Management System) plays a central role in the project. This system manages all storage locations and links them to product and process data. Based on this, the WMS automatically controls the AGVs and determines when and where materials are needed in production. The link with the Alpma system ensures direct synchronisation between production and internal logistics.

The result is a reliable and fully automated intralogistics solution, in which manual operations have been completely eliminated. With two integrated zones, four AGVs and an intelligent WMS, Hutin benefits from a stable supply to production and maximum control over the process.
