Their automated guided vehicles now move assembled products from the various assembly stations to the packaging machine.

Skylux ERP system and WEWO MES
Every skylight is registered in Skylux’s ERP system. This system follows the entire production process and is linked to the WEWO MES system. When an assembled skylight is ready, an order is automatically generated to pick the product. Are all AGVs taken? Then the assignment is placed in the queue and - of course - executed as soon as possible.
AGV with a centering and clamping mechanism
Skylux produces skylights in all shapes and sizes - from square skylights of 400 x 400 mm to round roof windows with a diameter of up to 3,000 mm. That is why Skylux’ AGVs are not only equipped with a lift mechanism, but also with a centering and clamping mechanism. The AGVs must be able to pick all types of skylights without any problems. In addition, each skylight must lie stable on the AGV, and of course the centering and clamping mechanism ensures that it does. The AGVs are also able to check the dimensions of each product. This works like a double check: is the registered product in the ERP system actually the product that goes to the packaging machine? If so, the skylight is taken to the packaging machine, where the AGV communicates the product data to the ERP system for further processing.
