Navigation methods of your AGV

By using innovative navigation techniques, the automated guided vehicles of WEWO Techmotion manoeuvre through the area independently. Two different navigation methods are possible in assembly automation, which are:

  • line navigation, for basic assembly processes;
  • natural navigation, for more dynamic assembly processes.

Line navigation or line guidance involves the installation of an optical scanner on your AGV. The scanner determines the location of the line in the image and uses this to position the vehicle. Natural navigation uses structures and contours in the environment as a reference for positioning. This makes accessories like inductive wires, magnets or reflectors superfluous.
