Every automated guided vehicle of WEWO Techmotion is controlled and managed by Fleet Management software.

Fleet Management software for your AGV

The software has a server-client architecture and is able to control different AGVs in the same environment. For this, the software contains various functionalities, such as:

  • managing and performing tasks;
  • communicating with the navigation software;
  • a user interface for monitoring and controlling the AGVs;
  • alarm management;
  • collecting data in a database;
  • a link-up with your MES, ERP or PLC system;
  • priority management;
  • traffic management of your fleet of AGVs;
  • preventing deadlocks.

Functionalities of Fleet Management software

Two of the functionalities will be explained in more detail. The Fleet Management software also manages battery status. Your advantage? Your AGVs are charged at scheduled times or when there are no assignments. The software is also involved in the route and planning. In order to ensure the best possible route for the AGV from its current location to the target location, the software takes into account other traffic en route. This is just one of its smart features.

Traffic control for your automated guided vehicle

We also want to discuss the traffic control feature in the Fleet Management software of WEWO Techmotion. Traffic control is based on both the routing and real-time monitoring of safety zones around the vehicle. In concrete terms, this means that the software can slow down AGVs or stop them altogether when they are (too) close to each other. The AGVs subsequently choose another route to reach their target location. This prevents a possible traffic jam, collision or deadlocks and ensures the most effective AGV routing.

Linking up Fleet Management software

As you can see, our Fleet Management software is quite extensive. The software contains all the tools needed to define your warehouse, your production environment or any other environment for that matter. And the software can, of course, be linked to various other packages that you may use, such as MES or ERP. This way, you never need to adjust your business processes to the automated guided vehicle. In fact, it’s the other way around!
